Presented at Southeast Regional Research Symposium 2025

It was my pleasure to give a research presentation today titled “Comparison between WBGT App Prototype and WBGT Monitor to Assess Heat Stress Risk” during the Southeast Regional Research Symposium (SERRS) held from March 6 – 7, 2025 in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The presented study was funded in 2023 by the  NIOSH Pilot/Small Project Research Training Grant through the Deep South Center for Occupational Health and Safety and was awarded to Bridget Angol (MS Environmental Health alumna 2024), with me serving as her faculty advisor. I joined the other pilot grant awardees from U.S. southeastern universities and instititutes, such as University of Alabama at Birmingham, UNC-Charlotte, University Kentucky, Virginia Tech, Western Carolina University, and North Carolina Agromedicine Institute, in presenting their research.
