HIST 6850: Field Research in Maritime History

3-4 week field school somewhere in the world.  Skills taught vary by location, but may include: shoreline mapping, site map preparation, project logistics, and remote sensing.

2012: Shipwrecks of the Outer Banks II (USS Huron, Pappy Lane Wreck Inspection, Sunnyside Wreck) (PI: Dr. Nathan Richards).

2013: Shipwrecks of the Outer Banks III (LST wreck, Manteo Screw Pile, Currituck Lighthouse) (PI: Dr. Nathan Richards; Co-PI: Dr. David Stewart).
