Journal Articles

Since 1998, I have written or co-written articles for a range of publications. This has included peer-reviewed academic journals (Historical Archaeology, Frontiers in Microbiology, the Great Circle, the International Journal of Nautical Archaeology, the Bermuda Journal of Archaeology and Maritime History, the Bulletin of the Australian Institute for Maritime Archaeology, and the Proceedings of the National Archaeology Students’ Conference) and magazine articles (MariTimes: Magazine of the Bermuda Maritime Museum, Clydebuilt: The Journal for the Clydebuilt Association/Friends of Glenlee, Stem to Stern: A Newsletter for our Maritime Studies Alumni and Friends, Heritage South Australia Newsletter, and The Newsletter of Historic Wilmington Foundation).

I have been a long-time member of the editorial board of the Australasian Journal of Maritime Archaeology (2003-present; previously known as Bulletin of the Australasian Institute of Maritime Archaeology), and the Journal of Maritime Archaeology (2012-present), and have previously served as an associate editor at Historical Archaeology (2007-2012). I have served as an article peer reviewer for Australian Archaeology, the Bulletin of the Australasian Institute for Maritime Archaeology, the International Journal of Nautical Archaeology, The Great Circle, Tributaries, Heritage Science, Conservation and Management of Archaeological Sites, and the Marine Technology Journal). I have also provided manuscript peer-reviewing services for Springer Press, Fairleigh Dickinson University Press, University Press of Florida, Charles Darwin University Press, and Globe Pequot Press.
